MGL is an artist and educator with a passion for changing hearts and minds by building community through film. Their missions in life include closing the arts access gap in underserved communities, promoting media literacy, and elevating films created for and by young people. They are especially skilled in creating  opportunity and meaningful experiences at the intersection of film and education for learners of all ages. MGL graduated from Emerson College in 2010 and spent over a decade as a set rat before finding a home in the film festival circuit. They have worked as a marketer, development professional, educator and programmer for Seattle Queer Film Festival, Translations: Seattle Transgender Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Tacoma Film Festival, Nightstream Film Festival, and North Bend Film Festival. When not impact producing THE RAVEN AND THE BULL, MGL splits time between managing membership at The Grand Cinema in Tacoma and managing education at the Northwest Film Forum in Seattle.
